Meticulous attention to detail in the interiors gives this home a modern yet comfortable feel that exudes simplicity with warmth and elegance. This two level home and separate guesthouse was designed by Jun Silliano, AIA, incorporating open and flowing spaces complimented by interesting ceiling details. Handcrafted precision is evident in the construction managed by Adam Serrano of Serrano Construction by the stone fireplace surrounds, beige and taupe limestone flooring, hickory pecan wood flooring, stained walnut doors and all the built-in cabinetry. Being part of the building process, the design team was able to incorporate recessed sunshades in the ceilings to open the house up to the exterior views. Along with state of the art integrated lighting by Light Ideas, several innovative custom lighting fixtures were designed and installed by Carmel Valley glass artist, Alan Masaoka. The Designer’s selection of custom designed area rugs and distinct furnishings were well thought out to enhance and soften the contemporary detailing.
